Kids’ Life Bible Clubs would not be able to reach the communities, families and students we reach without our faithful volunteers. Our volunteers selflessly give of their time and energy to teach, befriend and serve elementary students across the West Michigan area. We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to lead, teach, and even just be a friendly face for our students. If you would like to serve as a Bible Club Volunteer register here.
Our Club leaders work to have a relationship with the school office, plan and coordinate what rooms you will have access to, what time you need to set up etc. As well as communicate with parents about any updates regarding the club.
Our teachers lead one or both of the teaching times during the club, and use the provided materials to present the Bible lesson. Depending on the volunteer this can take a few hours of outside prep time to be comfortable with teaching the lesson.
We also need helpers. Volunteers who help with check in, passing out snacks, helping with the students and engaging with them as they come in to make them feel welcome.
It is possible to serve in multiple capacities, and we find some of the best clubs rotate roles, with volunteers sharing the teaching responsibilities but each club finds its own rhythm. Depending on the size of the club we need 4-6 volunteers to adequately run a Bible Club. We ask that volunteers commit to being available as many weeks as possible during the school session, and build in back ups for weeks when volunteers are traveling or sick.
Ultimately what makes the best volunteer is someone who is happy to be there and spend time with the students. If you are passionate about spending time with them and teaching them about the Bible then we want you to be a part of a Bible Club! Sign up today!
